Grrites are one of the insectoid races of Korroth. They are very colony oriented and their warrior class is one of the most feared. Swarms of warrior Grrite are known to fanatically attack enemy positions. There numbers, great strength, and natural armor make them deadly. The colony is control by the queen who is the sole producer of Grrite workers and warriors. A group of colonies make up a Hive which is controlled by the Queen Mother. Grrites can survive in most regions of Korroth, but prefer mild temperate areas. Independent Grrites are rare, but do occur. They are considered outcast by other colony oriented Grrites, but to others, they make great bodyguards and a good addition to any party.
