Koothrons are a race of reptiles. They have a close relationship to the Moudunns and hence normally have strong alliances with each other. There government is semi-democratic. Only the head of a family can vote. Those representatives that get elected in turn vote amongst themselves for leadership. The person who is chosen rules for life. Koothron warriors are second only to the Grrites, hence Koothron rulers often hire out their armies as mercenaries. This practice has become quite profitable for many Koothron city-states/ Besides the Zhontal'rai, the Koothrons are the most populous race, forcing some races to seek cooler climates instead of directly competing against them. Koothron city-states are some of the strongest on Korroth and therefore hold a lot of influence over certain regions. Koothrons (and Moudunns) are known to eat Kurks even though most Koothron's kingdoms have banned such practices and is punishable by death. However, blackmarkets still deal in their trade. I live Kurk can be worth a lot, since Koothrons prefer to each Kurks while they are still alive.
